Upcoming Programs

Story Time for Preschool and early readers is at 10:30 on Tuesdays in Reidsville, Wednesdays in Mayodan, Thursdays in Eden and Fridays in Stoneville.

Computer classes are held every week at the Eden Library
and on an occasional basis at the Madison and Reidsville locations. Click on our Upcoming Computer Classes Link for dates and times or call your local libray.

Eden Public Library

Adult Needlecrafters SocialMondays at 1:00 p.m.

  • Socialize with other needle crafters. Bring something to work on with you to the social. Learn more about needlecraft and/ or teach what you know to others.

Adult Coloring SocialTuesdays at 2:00 p.m.

  • Relax, have fun and socialize with other coloring enthusiasts.
  • Materials will be provided by the library but feel free to bring your own coloring pages and/or pencils.

  • This month the book club will be discussing The Black House by Peter May.

  • Sign up for this free 4 week class at the library and learn the basics of how to play Majhong.

  • The TLC is an organization made up of teen volunteers who help out with library programs and make suggestions for future young adult programs.
  • Teens ages 13-18 are welcome to attend.

Writing to Heal: A Journey of Healing Through PoetrySaturday October 6th from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

  • Debra Kaufman of Mebane and Melissa Hassard of Greensboro received a 2018 Regional Artist Project Grant to lead reading and writing workshops in libraries at each of the five counties covered by the grant (Alamance, Caswell, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham). Representatives from local family services organizations are invited to share their wisdom. Using selected poems, participants will discuss how we talk and write about abuse, how violence begets violence, how families and whole communities are affected by this violence, and how breaking the silence is the first step towards healing. Participants will be allowed time to reflect and write.

Jammin’ at the M & MMonday, October 8th at 5:30 p.m.

  • Tuning starts at 5 pm – Music starts at 5:30 pm
  • The Jams are open to Pickers (Musicians) who play an acoustic instrument (Banjo, Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, Dobro, Fiddle) and are interested in playing and having fun!
