INTERNET
All library branches offer public computers with high-speed internet access. Printing is available at the cost of .25 per page. Many library computers also feature the Microsoft Office suite of programs. A computer workstation with assistive technology for customers with disabilities is available at the Eden branch. The library's catalog is accessible online from library patron access catalogs and for remote users outside of the library at rocki.rcpl.org. Wireless (Wi-Fi) internet access is offered at all library branches. Users are expected to know how to access and use wireless internet connectivity. A handout is available with suggestions and tips, but staff can provide only minimal assistance to wireless users due to time constraints and workload. Free computer classes are offered by the library. Most classes are held at the Eden branch, with other classes offered on an occasional basis at the Reidsville and Mayodan branches. You can print out an internet user agreement, fill it out, and turn it in at any library location. |
