LIBRARY CARD

A library card is required to check out materials and to access certain online resources. You may get a library card at any branch or from the Bookmobile. To receive a card you must fill out a short application form, show proof of your current address, and a picture ID. You can print out a library card application form, fill it out, and turn it in at any library location.

Children under the age of 16 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the library card application form.

Lost cards can be replaced at the cost of $2.00 per card.

BORROWING PRIVILIGES

A valid library card in good standing is required to check out materials from the library.

New books cannot be renewed.

Books, books on tape, and books on CD have 3 week loan periods and can be renewed twice.

Videos, DVDs, and video games have 1 week loan periods and cannot be renewed.

Recorded music and back issues of magazines have 1 week loan periods and can be renewed twice.

An item cannot be renewed if a hold has been placed on it.

Requests for renewals may be made in person or by calling any library branch.

The library does charge fines and fees for overdue, lost, and damaged materials.
