Food for Fines Starts Monday November 30 and will Continue Thru Thursday December 31

For every nonperishable food item you bring in we will remove $1 off your fines accrued due to late fees. We will not be able to accept food to waive fines for billed items or collection fees. Make sure the food you donate is both non perishable and that it is not out of date.

Items donated to the Eden Library and the Bookmobile will be donated to the Salvation Army. Items donated to the Reidsville Library will be donated to the Outreach Center. Items donated to the Madison and Stoneville Libraries will be donated to the Hands of God Ministry.


The Reidsville Friends of the Library will be Implementing a Holiday Book Sale at the Reidsville Library on Thursday December 3, thru Saturday December 5

Our Ebook Lending Policy Has Changed

The checkout period for library eBooks has decreased from 3 weeks to 2 weeks per checkout.

The number of eBooks you can check out at once has increased from 2 checkouts to 5 checkouts per eBook account.

Rockingham County is now a proud participant in the online history project DigitalNC (, and we have our very own Rockingham County Legacy page! In presenting this resource to the community, Rockingham County Public Library joins DigitalNC in the belief that community history is life enriching and meant to be celebrated.

Check Out Our New Language Learning Program!

Rockingham County Public Library has added a new language learning program to our website.

Pronunciator offers language lessons for 80 different languages and offers ESL courses for 50 non-English languages.

You can tailor your language lessons to subjects that interest you and quiz yourself to find out how much you’ve learned.
