The Madison-Mayodan Library will be Hosting an Adult Coloring Program on Monday July 25th from 3pm-5pm In the Madison-Mayodan Library McMichael Room

The Eden Library also hosts an Adult Coloring Program on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. and Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.


The Eden Library’s 3D Printer is Now Available for Public Use!

Library users now have the abililty to make three-dimensional objects in plastic using a design that is uploaded from a digital computer file.

Any 3D drafting software may be used to create a design as long as the file can be saved in an .stl, .obj, or .thing, file format.

Patrons wishing to use the 3D printer must have a library card in good standing.

If you’d like to use the library’s 3D printer, bring your print file in a .stl, .obj, or .thing format with a completed “3D Printing Request Form”. Make sure to include all required signatures and bring the form to the Circulation desk during open hours. Staff will verify the form for accuracy and add the request to the printing queue.

Cost: 3D printing at the Library is $1.00/hour of printing with a minimum of $2.00.

Prints will be left as-is upon completion; finishing work (such removal of excess material) will be left to the patron.

Volunteers at the Eden Library Helped Out Their Community by Sewing Knap Sack Bears for First Responders to Give to Children in Emergency Situations

Captain Pete DuBois of the City of Eden Fire Department and Lieutenant Robert Price of the Eden City Police both visited the library to pick up 25 “comfort” bears that were made by volunteers at the Eden Public Library. The bears will be given to children who are in need of “comfort”.

Pictured are Captain Pete DuBois of the City of Eden Fire Department, Mallory Turner, and Alice Seaver and Lieutenant Robert Price of the Eden City Police, Connie Breaker, and Alice Seaver. Others who contributed to the making of the bears were: Jo Snodderly, Pat Darnell, and Helen Dameron.

Volunteers worked on sewing the bears and their knap sacks at home and using the sewing machines located in the Eden Library Maker Space.
