Would You Like to Learn How to Decorate Cakes? Sign up for a Cake Decorating Class at the Madison-Mayodan Library on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.


The Madison-Mayodan Library will be Hosting a CPR Class on Thursday July 14, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Volunteers at the Eden Library Helped Out Their Community by Sewing Knap Sack Bears for First Responders to Give to Children in Emergency Situations

Captain Pete DuBois of the City of Eden Fire Department and Lieutenant Robert Price of the Eden City Police both visited the library to pick up 25 “comfort” bears that were made by volunteers at the Eden Public Library. The bears will be given to children who are in need of “comfort”.

Pictured are Captain Pete DuBois of the City of Eden Fire Department, Mallory Turner, and Alice Seaver and Lieutenant Robert Price of the Eden City Police, Connie Breaker, and Alice Seaver. Others who contributed to the making of the bears were: Jo Snodderly, Pat Darnell, and Helen Dameron.

Volunteers worked on sewing the bears and their knap sacks at home and using the sewing machines located in the Eden Library Maker Space.

The Eden Library Hosts a STEM Building Program Every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.

Join us for a morning of fun at the Eden Library.

Every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. the library hosts a STEM Building Club.

Kids can build their own Lego creations using the library’s Mega Blocks and/or play with the Library’s train set.

This program is free. It is for children ages 1-5.

In presenting this resource to the community, Rockingham County Public Library joins DigitalNC in the belief that community history is life enriching and meant to be celebrated.
