The Madison-Mayodan Public Library will be Closed October 20-24

Checked out items can be returned through the book drop or at the Eden, Reidsville, or Stoneville locations. If you would like to renew materials during this week call the Eden Library at 336-623-3168, the Reidsville Library at 336-349-8476 or the Stoneville Library at 336-573-9040.

The Eden Library is located at 598 S. Pierce Street in Eden and will be opened the following hours during the week of October 20th.

Monday: 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Tuesday: Closed for Staff Training
Wednesday 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Thursday: 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The Reidsville Library is located at 204 W. Morehead Street in Reidsville and will be opened the following hours during the week of October 20th.

Monday: 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Tuesday: Closed for Staff Training
Wednesday 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Thursday: 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The Stoneville Library is located at 201 E. Main Street in Stoneville and will be opened the following hours during the week of October 20th.

Monday: 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Tuesday: Closed for Staff Training
Wednesday 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Thursday: 1 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.


You’re Invited to the Weight-Management Program and Support Group at the New Madison-Mayodan Public Library on Monday October 27, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. until 1 p.m.

Want to learn how to manage your weight and get support while doing it? Well, this FREE is the program for you. You’ll learn how to choose a healthy diet, move more, and make lifelong behavior changes.

(Feel free to bring your lunch)

You can Sign Up to Check Out E-books at your Local Library

You asked for them and now they are here! Due to popular demand the library has added e-books to our library’s collection.

The Library’s e-book collection went live on November 5. Go to to browse the e-books available for check out.

The library e-books can be read on PCs, Macs, Android Devices, iOS devices, Kindle Fires, and Nooks. If you would like to checkout library e-books, visit your local library and ask for help setting up an Axis360 account.

In order to read the e-books you check out with your Axis360 account you will need to download either the AxisReader app or the Blio Reader app on your e-reader device. To download the apps to PCs, Macs, Android Devices, or iOS devices visit Axis360’s app zone web page at:

Check Out Our New Language Learning Program!

Rockingham County Public Library has added a new language learning program to our website.

Pronunciator offers language lessons for 80 different languages and offers ESL courses for 50 non-English languages.

You can tailor your language lessons to subjects that interest you and quiz yourself to find out how much you’ve learned.
